Current mood: melancholy
We said goodbye to Tim, our
friend and cousin today. Would have been nice to play pool with him one
last time, maybe get some pointers on how not to suck. I'm glad he's at
peace. Amid the devastation, it's comforting to know the one we're all
distraught over is no longer suffering. One day the suffering will end,
I'll get mine too. Until then, I'll put my head down, pick my feet up,
and slog through the mire. And maybe Steve Winwood was right in that
retarded song he wrote in the 80's. The finer things come shining
through. If you want them to, they do.
